This is a pretty great option, especially if you are off the grid or boon docking etc. A gravity filter with a UV filter is a top tier option for anyone drinking from water that has possible micro organisms like rain water, standing well water or lake and river water.

It wont lower tds but the water will taste good and be free from all the particles large enough to be caught by the filters.

It's a pretty good option at the price and definitely worth a try.

Sidenote: it does need power for the UV filtration.

I love this! It does an amazing job of filtering our water. My mom bought 1 and she loved it so much she talked me in to buying 1. We are so happy to have this! I fill my 5 gallon water dispenser with this water so it lasts longer.

So I have been wanting a gravity water filter for a while now because I am trying to cut back on bottled water and have a better emergency backup on hand. After using this for about a month, I am very happy with it.

Setup is not difficult, though priming all six filters does take a little time, so just be prepared for that part. Once I got everything together and running, the water tasted noticeably better than straight tap water. It also filters faster than I expected for a gravity system, which was one of the things I was most curious about. I like that it holds plenty of water at once too, so I am not constantly thinking about refilling it.

The stainless steel body feels solid and well made, and the added UV-C feature is what really makes this stand out to me. I like having that extra peace of mind, especially if this ever needs to be used in an emergency situation. The USB-C power setup is nice too since it gives you flexible ways to run it instead of being tied to one specific charger.

One thing to keep in mind is that this gets pretty heavy when it is full, so it is best to set it where you want it before filling it up. Outside of that, I really do not have any complaints. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, and the water comes out tasting clean and fresh.

As far as value goes, I think this is priced fairly for the size, build quality, included filters, and the added UV-C feature. Overall I am very pleased with it, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a gravity filter for daily use, backup water storage, or emergency preparedness.

I've always seen these things around, or rather ones similar in design, but not one of such remarkable build. I'm used to the usual faucet filter, but after noticing it costs more for filters than it was worth, I decided to change things up. It works as advertised, but I'd make the water ahead of time so you can have it when needed. Best of all, with the metal build and other antibacterial properties from the UV, you won't have any weird bacterial fuzz growing inside your tank.

Mrs Aloha Friday and I have a small coffee bar / kitchenette with a small bar sink, mini fridge and microwave in a lounge area off of our master bedroom upstairs that was a small bedroom incorporated into it by the previous owners. Since bottled water is expensive and wasteful, we had been considering something like this for a while. I wish we had done this years ago. Follow the video for setup. It's a process, but it's not hard. Totally worth it to not buy bottles anymore - and schlep them upstairs or take them downstairs for recycling. The water tastes great and once you get the hang of it, it's easy to do. The UV sterilization is important, and worth the extra cost, in my opinion, for lower maintenance overall. We haven't had to replace filters yet, but there are generic ones at reasonable cost. The filter looks cool and is sturdy and strong, though Mrs AF is looking for a wooden stand for aesthetics. We feel like hipsters with this, and are enjoying it very much. The clean, fresh water is awesome for tea and coffee, and it's a great addition to our lives.
